Mobile Alabama with April

December 15, 2018 Celebrating my Sister's Birthday in Mobile, Alabama My sister, April, turned ### this year and I offered to celebrate with her in Mobile, Alabama. I promised good food, lots of drinks and ghost hunting. She was on-the-fence until ghost hunting. Read all about our maraudering (spelled wrong but sounds better this way) and pillaging around downtown Mobile over the next few pages including Dauphin's, Dauphin Street, Battle House, Malaga Inn, Cigar Bar, seancing (yes, more misspelling with intent) and more. Don't worry about my spelling and grammar please. It is far better than how Siri or Google Maps pronounce Mobile, Alabama. Scoping Out Mobile Alabama

December 15, 2018 Dauphin Street, Bienville Square, Malaga Inn - Downtown Mobile, Alabama Saturday morning, no, not even Saturday morning; Saturday noon, I arrived first to downtown Mobile. I drove over from my place on Perdido Key, Florida - only about an hour east of Mobile. April was driving down from Honoraville, Alabama with Kayla, Brendan, Missy, Kevin and Levi. I was supposed to also have Kevin C. and Pamela L. meet us for the overnight stay, but neither of them could join us. Kevin C. and Pamela L. are my ghost whisperers so I sorely missed them on this trip. Both of them actually saw a ghost at the Malaga Inn on a previous trip in their hotel room so I felt confident that they would channel a ghost for this trip. Alas, we will have to get them to Mobile on another trip. April and her crew were late as Kayla was late packing (this was a one-night trip). As such, I had time to bum around downtown Mobile alone and scope things out. The weather was cool and great for w...

Mobile the Rest of the Night

December 15, 2018 The Rest of the Night in Mobile got a little Fuzzy There were a lot of places in downtown Mobile that we visited over the next several hours for our one night in downtown Mobile, Alabama. The evening did get a little fuzzy, but I remember our route pretty well. We left the Mobile Carnival Museum and headed down Dauphin street to Dauphin's so that I could show everyone the view before it got too dark. We were not dressed for dinner (very fancy place) but we felt comfortable enough to have drinks and appetizers at the high-top tables in the bar section. The walls are glass top to bottom around pretty much the entire place so you have an amazing view in almost any direction. Plus, the appetizers were affordable and very good. After Dauphin's, I took everyone over to the Battle House hotel where we took photos around the lobby Christmas tree and then snuck up to the rooftop pool which was closed but at least I got to show everyone another view of Mobile. ...
