2025 was a great year for my Mobile Mardi Gras Weekend Party. The weather was chilly, but not too bad. I had rooms 10 and 11 in the Fort Conde Inn. April and Dan got a room in the main house thanks to Wes having some cancellations from his group (Wes has a girlfriend now, Jenny; and we are waiting to hear of an engagement). My two rooms were full with Momma and Jimmy, Troy and Polly and Kevin. Olivia and Zoey stayed Saturday night in April and Dan's room. Brendan and Kayla showed up briefly Saturday and Sunday, but they had a ball in Daphne Saturday night, so they stayed with Kayla's high school girlfriends. Kelsy, Matt and their kids could not make it this year. They had just gotten back from a Carnival Cruise out of New Orleans, so Matt needed to get back for work. I do not think anyone else showed up Friday, Saturday or Sunday - I think I'll invite fewer people next year. Maybe just to people who have actually made an appearance over the years. 2023 Mardi Gras was an awesome weekend with my family and friends. There are plenty of pictures to share with you on this page. Here is a recap of the weekend's adventures. Join us next year if you get a chance. The weather was forecast to be cold and rainy all weekend, so I took my duck boots (great decision). Again, I rented 10 and 11 at Fort Conde Inn which are the two big rooms downstairs and upstairs across from the main building. Only April, Dan, Kelsy and Kash joined me Friday night. Everyone else came in Saturday morning. April, Dan and I missed the Friday night parade. We ordered late at the Fort Conde Bistro and did not realize the parade was going to be over so soon. The three of us did try to catch the parade as it looped back into downtown, but April complained that we were running too fast and that her calves were burning.
