Mardi Gras Mobile 2023

2023 Mardi Gras was an awesome weekend with my family and friends. There are plenty of pictures to share with you on this page. Here is a recap of the weekend's adventures. Join us next year if you get a chance.  The weather was forecast to be cold and rainy all weekend, so I took my duck boots (great decision). Again, I rented 10 and 11 at Fort Conde Inn which are the two big rooms downstairs and upstairs across from the main building. Only April, Dan, Kelsy and Kash joined me Friday night. Everyone else came in Saturday morning.  April, Dan and I missed the Friday night parade. We ordered late at the Fort Conde Bistro and did not realize the parade was going to be over so soon. The three of us did try to catch the parade as it looped back into downtown, but April complained that we were running too fast and that her calves were burning. Mobile Mardi Gras Party 2021 Cancelled

This picture is actually from 2020 before Covid-19 became a HUGE issue for the world. For 2021, it has become an even BIGGER issue. All Mardi Gras parades in Mobile have been cancelled. My family and I had thought about still going to Fort Conde Inn for a weekend trip, but my niece tested positive for Covid-19 so I cancelled the rooms. Luckily, Kayla has had a mild case so far.  Vaccines have now become available and massive campaigns have been started around the world to get people vaccinated. Hopefully, we will be able to have Mardi Gras 2022 in Mobile. Keep your fingers crossed and be well. Want to know when new posts are added? Simple. Mobile Mardi Gras 2020

2020 was my second year renting the house at Fort Conde Inn downtown Mobile for Mardi Gras. The weather was perfect - clear skies, not too hot, not too cold (until Sunday when it rained all day, but we checked out and went home Sunday anyway).  I'm thankful my family and friends could join me again. I had a great time including our house party (parties), the afternoon stop at Dauphine's, sub sandwiches at JJ's, day parades, Friday night parade and Momma's favorite mimosas. Let's do it again next year.  Happy Mardi Gras, y'all! Read about my other travels. https://travelblogsbynoah.blogspot.com/
